How and when to clean AirVita?

One of the most common questions about AirVita is on How and When to clean AirVita. We will share more information in this Blog on how to maintain this innovative Air Cleaner or Ionizer.

In the AirVita’s instruction manual, the Cleaning Method of AirVita is very simple and straight as below:

1. Disconnect AirVita from Socket or Outlet.
2. Clean it in clean water or detergent-dissolved water.
3. Fully dry cleaned AirVita. (For urgent usage dry it with hair dryer.)
4. Install it and turn the power on.

It is also mentioned in the AirVita brochure to clean the device once or two months.

Well, we would probably add in some new tips for you, so that it is more specific. Although it could be quite common sense but we hope this will remind and help you to maintain AirVita better and safely.

1. Please switch off the Power before disconnect AirVita from Socket or Outlet,
2. We suggest you could use an used toothbrush to brush the outlet of the AirVita gently when washing.
3. After cleaning with detergent-dissolved water, please rinse AirVita thoroughly with clean water.
4. Wipe AirVita with dry cloth after rinsed AirVita with clean water.
5. Don’t plug-in and power on Airvita immediately after cleaning with water. Let Airvita dry for at least few hours. (For urgent usage dry it with hair dryer.)
Note: Duration of drying depending on your environment.

For some indoor environment which is much smoky or the air is more polluted, please clean AirVita once in 1 or 2 weeks time. You could easily observed and determine based on the outer surface of AirVita and it surrounding area.

Why setup Business Blog for TLC-Trade.com?

When we first started to build our current web site, TLC-Trade.com, we did not anticipate much or any dynamic content to post on our web site. But however, as our business progress, we discovered that we need allow more channels of communication between us and our potential or new customers, suppliers, partners, associates, etc.

We need a very quick form communication mean to communicate to internal and external parties. There are many ways to do that, take for examples, using emails, newsletters or web forum. However, we discovered nowadays, others feel are rather intrusive to receive unsolicited emails or newsletter.

Moreover, at the moment we also could not know when and what information that others would be interested and like us to inform them, especially for our type of business nature. Although we could send out a broadcast to survey and ask but it is only applicable to those we know of their email contacts. Besides it will be a lot of administrative works on our parts and the time could not be immediate. Furthermore, email contacts could still be lost or emails being ignore too.

Although web forum could be a good alternative compare to Blog, since it can build a business community that could benefits us and certainly to those that join the forum. However, the forum will still need much efforts to setup, moderate, categorize, archive and increase of many other administrative and maintenance issues. But what we want is to quickly set up communication channel that allow us to disseminate information wide, quickly and with least minimum efforts. Moreover, we already have different communication channels for others to get in contact with us. So we decide to use Blog mean of communicate to the mass.

Using Blog we could inform others of our any upcoming business news, our works, how we handle some of our business problems, share our experiences and even could be electronic notice board for others to know what is going on with our business.

In view of these benefits of using Blog, we proceed to consider whether to setup our own Blog on our server or outsource to some kind of Blog services provider (BSP), like Blogger.com or Techno. We have to decide whether to get Free or Paid BSP, and we choose Free BSP for the time being to learn and find out how and what Blog will eventually lead us to. Moreover, we might consider hosting our own Blog at our own server which has resources that we still have not use.

So we decide to use Blogger.com versus other Free BSP likes, WordPress, Moveable Type, etc… since Blogger.com could allow the flexibility to use either their free hosted services at Blogspot or our web server. With in mind that we might use our server for our Business Blog, this could be a nice feature that we might consider in the future when we are ready to use our server for our Business Blog.

Moreover, it is very easy and certainly quick to set up for beginning bloggers and/or for those who don't wish to be bothered with technical know-how. Since we thought it is owned by Google.com, we should be worry much about reliability and professional services. However, this might not the case as we later found out. So we hope that the services provide by Blogger.com will improve soon in the areas of reliability and reduce downtime.

Others features that we consider it is good with Blogger.com was it ability to supports multi-author (group) blogs, which we could build community Blog when we required. Since it also allow blogging via email and supports unlimited number of blogs.

Nevertheless, we would still be ongoing efforts for us continue to review the performance and reliability of our business blog at Blogger.com. Therefore we would decide to continue staying with Blogger.com or migrate to better Blog software or services to serve our needs better.

Progress and status update on TLC-Trade.com web site

I just finally validated all our TLC-Trade.com main web pages to comply with W3C HTML 4.01. You could easily view this W3C Validation button at bottom of those web pages at the web sites that validated by W3C Markup Validation Services version 0.7.2.

Since I started our corporate web site in middle of February 2006, I have been diligently improving the web site not just in the design, but also in content, so that to ensure the web site would have a better chance of rank higher at most Search Engines, like Google, MSN and Yahoo. Ultimately, the goal is for others to find our products and information easily.

In actual fact, I have incubated the web site in middle of January 2006 at my local Internet Service Provider (ISP) before moving to the current web site using TLC-Trade.com domain. Since then, I have done my research and study on the Internet and others web sites. I also received some feedback on our web sites. Although, I have received some compliments but however, I take much concerns on feedback that highlight our web site’s shortcoming and not so favorable comment.

Take for example, one of the feedbacks was the initial moving Menu bar was horizontal and will follow the viewers when they scroll down or up when reading the information on the web page. This horizontal moving menu bar could be very distracting and could be an eye sore. Needless to say, I immediately look into it and consider what actions to remedy this shortcoming.

Before deciding what remedy actions to take, I did considered on static menu bar, but however, some of the web pages are rather lengthy due to the content, and static menu bar could not give the viewer the flexibility to navigate to other pages easily and conveniently. Therefore, I settled with a vertical moving Menu bar, so that it will not block the viewer when reading the information and yet allow the viewer to have easy access the Menu bar for navigate to other pages when needed. So now if you view our web site, the Menu bar will be at the Left hand side of the Web page and move accordingly with the viewer. This could be the solution until we find better solution.

I also received feedbacks that the loading on some of the web pages are rather slow, especially with dial-up users or those users that have slower broadband Internet connection. So I also waste no time to optimize all the web pages.

Firstly, I separated some large size web pages to smaller web pages and remove any redundant HTML codes. Secondly, I optimized and reduced the size of the pictures, so that to reduce web pages loading time. Thirdly, I also try to reduce number of pictures and external links per pages to reduce latency times. Fourthly, I moved the MenuBar Javascript to lower bottom of the page, so that the web page can load first and Menubar Javascript later which usually take longer time. And I hope all this changes would help to make loading our web pages much faster.

I also in the process of implementing a few more improvements, or rather SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or SERP (Search Engine Rank Page) so that the web site could rank better at the most popular Search Engines.

However, I’m still continuingly to improve and add on the contents and also the Chinese web pages. English to Chinese Translation are still in progress for AirVita, Plush Toy Web Cam and other web pages. I also hope soon I could add in more products information and relevant contents for those visitors that visit the web site.

How to know the Ionizer Air Cleaner or Airvita is working (without Ion Tester)

We have been asked many times on how could any one test our AirVita Ionizer Air Cleaner without Ion Tester.

Despite we could examine physically on the LED light is on and there is very slight sound when Airvita is power on and working. But it could not really know whether Airvita is generating any Negative Ion. Some of our customers feedback to us that they can see the blue lighting inside Airvita in the dark environment, however it is still not very easy for many others to see such blue colour lighting inside Airvita.

Well, firstly we would suggest you could try find any transparent box that could be big enough to put in our Airvita and still doesn’t allow the smoke to escape easily. Then inject some smoke into the box and switch on the AirVita. Wait for some time, you will see that the box that was previously look misty or smoky because of the smoke, now with Airvita been power on and generated the negative ion, the box will gradually become clear. This could be a proof that the Airvita is generating negative ion and certainly it is working.

However, many of us don’t really have access to such transparent box. So alternatively, as some of our customers feedback to us that they put the Airvita in Kitchen and start it when they are cooking. They will immediately feel or see the smoke due to the cooking is much lesser compare when they are not using Airvita.

Certainly there are many other ways, that one can think of like putting Airvita in a smoking area, or power on the Airvita in an enclosed room for a few hours and come back to breath whether is there any difference, etc…

One last important thing that we want to remind our customers are that Airvita is a Negative Ion generator or ionizer, whichever type of product name you would like to call it. It is no Air fresher or fragrancy that you will smell nice or anything that smell fragrance. As it should only smell like near Waterfall, Seaside, country side or after a thunderstorm near the window, if your nose is sensitive enough.

Since some of us are living in much clear air environment, so we might not able to feel or smell so obviously. But for those who are always in the polluted or smoking areas, it will feel or breath great difference when step into a room that has Airvita turn on. If someone nose could smell the difference, I believe he or she could probably be hire by one of customers to be one of the human ion tester.

Another suggestion is to check out more detail on Airvita and it product specification, so that you could you use your creativeness to test this product out.

I have recently observed from our corporate web site’s statistics log that there is increase of viewing and probably extract of information on our sample NCNDA. To gain the experiences, one just has to practice as much and deal with as many trade leads and don’t give up easily. However, not every trade leads are always genuine. Therefore, one has to trust their instinct, and also through past experiences that will know and decide those deals that will have to give up while some will be given more efforts and/or priority.

I personally feel to gain the solid and relevant experience there is no substitute except hard work and time. Nevertheless, one would still enhance his competency or gain some advantages in this trade through relevant knowledge.

Take for example, one would need to keep abreast of the market pricing, differentiate the specification of different products, knowing the different payment terms, type of payment methods, finding out what are shipping and INCOTERMS terms, like, CIF, FOB, CNF, FCL, LCL, and many other related information required in International trading.

Fortunately, this type of information could be easily search and accessible from Internet. One just has to type the relevant keywords to find the information required, and then just find time and efforts to browse the vast information that the Internet Search Engine listed on your computer screen. Well, I did mentioned previously one has to put in the efforts and time to gain experiences, and therefore one has to put in the efforts and times in finding out how to find information more effectively and efficiently.

Nevertheless, since through years I have bookmarked some of useful web sites that provide very useful and relevant information that could help in International trading and even International trading in Petroleum products. To be dependable and trustworthy is always our business principles that we strongly believe and strive in our everyday in doing business. Since without such strong good core values in business, how could a business be able to survive, and certainly needless to imagine how a business can progress towards prosperity.

However, everyday in my business life, I frequently met with some people could try to tell me somethings that it is obvious not quite right and certainly not true. It is so easy for some people will try mislead or distort the truth to gain some advantages, especially the information that they disseminate would be easily be proven or check.

Probably it is all in our human nature to always choose the easy way out, but however I am really thinking of how far one can progress further in business, if they continue to distort or mislead.

I wonder how the person feels when he/she discovered the receivers realized that what is being told are distorted or misleading. Does this person know how much damage been done on his/her own integrity?

Cerainly there are a lots of smart and wise people, especially in the business world, will have independent thinkings and business savvy enough to judge the information given are "accurate" or indeed being distorted.

Would a serious businessman continue to do long term business with a person that constantly lie and mislead others? I certainly doubt so. Well, I believe the world is fair in some ways, one may get away one or few times of misdeeds done, but eventually one day, he/she will eventually pay the prices of the misdeeds done by him/her.

Why no effects on some people?

We have some feedbacks from some our testers for AirVita - Ionizer Air Cleaner.

The feedbacks from some of our testers were that they feel no effects after a few days or a week of using our AirVita.

Actually we are happy for this group of testers who did not feel any immediate positive effects after using our AirVita - Air Cleaner.

Why we feel such way? Simple, this is because our testers are in good health and they don't have major respiratory problems. So we are happy for them.

Major discrepancies in International Oil Trading

We have been dealing with consulting and brokering for International Oil trading for quite some times. From our experiences, to close transaction in this trade are extremely difficult!

Take for example of recently, I have received a few buy enquiries on Mazut M100 and Russian D2. In all the enquiries, all the buyers are “very worry” and put in clauses and terms that they think will protect the buyers’ interest and reduce risks.

However, those clauses or terms that the buyers insisted to put into the contracts were "very worry" for my seller side too. As the terms seem to be one side favoring the buyer, putting the seller to bear unnecessary risks and certainly unfair for the seller.

Since I am on the seller side, my responses and opinions could be considered to the buyers as bais. Nevertheless, I still want to express and share my thoughts and let others who are more experienced and wiser than me to judge whether I written in this blog is indeed true in any sense.

Buyer has the right to state a clause or term that protect the interest of the buyer, but if the clause or term unfortunately put the seller at higher risk or probably incurs higher cost in selling, what would the seller do?

I could possibly think of a few possible scenarios as below.

Scenario A: Seller thinks that the Buyer is not serious and sincere, and therefore just walks out of the deal. I believe no seller stupid enough to engage in business transaction that caused him to lose money, right? (May be next times, I will share my interesting stories on how some sellers walk out of the deals nicely or angrily.)

Scenario B: Seller will counter proposed with a clause or term that the buyer may or may not accept. If it is not accept by the buyer, the buyer could either walk out of the deal, or counter propose another clause or term, or even most likely insist that the original term proposed by the buyer must be comply by the seller. (Look like "hard buying" in some sense, I think.)

For Scenario A, it is very straight forward case. It is no deal and end of story.

In Scenario B, it could develop into many possibilities. However, there is no assurance that the transaction will still progress successfully even both parties try to propose feasible solutions. As in most cases, the discrepancies are that either party could be lack of experiences and expertise in dealing International Oil trading, or only care of protecting the interest of themselves. Then no matter how much times or efforts both put into to work out the differences in closing the deal successfully, it will in vain.

I believe in doing business, there is no such things as one party will gain all the advantages and take much lesser risks compare to the other party. It must be fair and willing by both parties to have a successful business transaction. However, due to lack of related knowledge and experiences in either parties that will caused major difference/gap in negotiating or closing a business transaction. It is also probably too much bad experiences become a burden in making the negotiation successful.

Everyone talk about achieve Win-Win situation, or even All Win situation in negotiating a business transaction. Sometimes I believe it is easy to say than for one to achieve that, especially in international oil trading. If one has to look at this trade positively, that is the interesting and challenging part of this business, but it is also a waste of time and efforts for many people, as it doesn't achieve much except face with much frustration and disappointments at the end of the day.

Just like me, the middleman, brokers, agents, traders, consultants mandates or whatever those people want to call themselves in this trade that communicate between the buyers and sellers, and want to earn some or a lot of compensation in doing this business, it is not just about whether who you know or who know you, but rather how this people can bridge the gaps and minimize the differences between the buyer and seller to achieve success closing of business transaction in this trade.

Lastly, I would think another skill that we need to acquire in this trade is to know very early how big the difference or gap between both buyer and seller parties. If the difference is too big, I better not waste too much time and efforts, as the transaction will never complete successfully since one party just insist most of the terms in the transaction to favor themselves. In short, it takes two hands to clap, not one.

Increase Price on our Plush Toy Web Cam?

Recently, I just got some feedbacks that because we priced our Plush Toy Web Cam range of products much lower than other competitors, some people may think our Plush Toy Web Cam products could be inferior or lower specification.

We at TLC Global certainly agree that our pricing for Plush Toy Web Cam products are much lower than our competitors. However, we totally disagreed that our Plush Toy Web Cam could be inferior or lower specification.

So I proceed to do some research on the Internet, and found some similar or equivalent Plush Toy Web Cams that are on sales on the Internet. I discovered in comparison that our Web Cams are much higher and better in specification and quality, and as matter of fact, our prices much lower by 30 to 60%!

With such findings, I now are contemplating whether the feedbacks on our products are priced lower than therefore others would think our web cam products are lower quality. If this is the case, should we raise the price to give a “better quality” images?

We might not revise the price higher very soon, but we could seriously consider of this pricing aspect in our Plush Toy Web Cam products range. At the same times, I am very keen to get some view and feedbacks from new and existing customers as whether our pricing are right.

Lastly and most importantly, we still want to live by our business philosophy of selling good quality, reliable and value for money products to our customers. If not, how do we survive in such competitive business world nowadays?

Today, we just got in some Bird Flu Test Kit (alias Influenza A Antigen Test).

It is an in vitro immunoassay for the qualitative detection of influenza virus antigen type A in human specimens, either direct swab or liquid samples. As the Test kit are been coated with monoclonal antibody against nucleoprotein of Influenza type A. This kit also has been found to identify influenza virus with a high degree of accurancy.

Per Kit is about USD18.00 for testing on Human. While for testing on bird, the price is USD15.00 per kit depending on the quantity ordered.

While each kit will have 1 Set of Influenza Virus Antigen Test Device, Specimen tube contain assay diluents, sample collection swab and disposable dropper.

It will come in a box of 10 Test Kits with 1 instruction booklet.

Based on the above information, I believe those who are interested in such test kit should try to contact us and find out more information.

Since with some countries are having outbreak of Bird Flu, I personally think such Bird Flu Test Kits will be very useful in accurately detecting any possible Influenza virus in human or bird. It is better to detect early and take actions fast, before it is too late.

As the sales for AirVita pick up last month suddenly, we are still trying to investigate what caused the increase in sales and enquiries. Since recently, we have invested much efforts in promoting this Air Cleaner product on the Internet. We tried to list in Ebay, introduced in forum, advertised on some trade portals and certainly post our product information on our web site.

I believe our efforts have pay off, and probably gradually. So we hope that our efforts will pay off in months or years to come. In this instance, we again realized nothing happen without a cause and we have to work hard to get what we want.

However, now we must continue to put in more efforts to create more awareness and improve our marketing strategies eventually. So we already have brainstorming some ideas to introduce such good quality and yet valued for money products to even more people.

When we first decide to market this product, we believe AirVita could really help those with respiratory problem, remove smoke and dust, and improve health in long term basis. So we really hope to sell this useful product to someone, and feel the satisfaction and happy when they feedback our product really help them.
